Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 08, 2026

Your privacy is deeply important to me. This policy clarifies exactly what minimal information is collected when you use LocalMediaEngine and how that data is securely handled.

Core Privacy Commitment: LocalMediaEngine is a local-first desktop utility. I do not upload, stream, analyze, or view any of your personal files, media assets, documents, or transcode pipelines. All conversion work happens entirely offline on your local machine hardware.

1. Information Collected At Purchase

When you subscribe to a premium tier plan, payment transactions are completely handled by Paddle, my Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your billing information, name, country, and email address. I only have access to your order logs, email, and subscription status parameters within the Paddle developer portal; I never see or store your private credit card credentials or payment details.

2. Technical Data Used During Verification

When you input your Subscription ID inside the application UI to unlock premium modules, the software sends that key across a secure HTTPS connection directly to my custom middleware proxy server, which cross-checks validity with Paddle's API. This process strictly evaluates whether your license state is active or inactive and stores a small local configuration file (`app_config.json`) on your machine so you do not have to re-verify every session.

3. Third-Party Services

I utilize the following payment gateway system to power license provisioning:

  • Paddle: Serves as the independent Merchant of Record. Their processing is governed directly by their own comprehensive legal and data privacy declarations.

4. Data Security and Sharing

I do not share, lease, sell, or monetize your subscription details or email information with external tracking agencies or advertising channels. Data transmission is used exclusively to protect and validate your paid software ownership parameters.

5. Your Rights

You may request the full removal of your subscription record history from my active Paddle portal dashboard profiles at any time by terminating your account access logs or contacting me directly via support pathways.

6. Contact

For any clarifying questions concerning this Privacy Policy, feel free to contact me via email at support@yourdomain.com.
